I have felt very reminiscent as of late on my family's trip to the Holy Land just a year ago at this time. It's crazy to me that it has already been a year that we were sitting up on shepherds hill on Christmas eve night singing "Far far away on Judea's plain", sailing on the Sea of Galilee with our Nigerian Christian friends, living it up in the kibbutz, seeing the Garden Tomb, the Holy Sepulchre, the Garden of Gethsemane and so much more! But honestly the main message I took away from that once in a lifetime trip was the spirit that is in those places. It isn't about stepping exactly where Jesus did on those steps up to the temple mount or touching where they think Christ was born in Bethlehem or filling my water up out of the spout they think Jesus did...it is more about the spirit and the stories that happened around those areas. It doesn't have to be the "exact" place because when it comes down to it no one knows the specific spot but the spirit that I felt there is what really touched me. Now I've been reading one chapter of Matthew a day and looking back on my experiences there have made those stories come so much more alive! So grateful for that opportunity!

Reminiscent of the Holy Land
