Arrival Upon London

So I have officially made it to London-town and have made my home here for the next 3 months. It is funny how easily you can adjust & adapt to a place-making it feel like I have been here for longer than I have (which is a good thing!)

One of the lessons I've learned so far is how much I love traveling, exploring & being on my own (just call me "ms independent) As the pictures below show I loved my 1st little adventure on my own figuring out the tube to take me to Whole Foods. It was amazing! Great samples & a plethora of options (Dad would have loved it!) I went crazy & maybe spent a little too much but whatever live & learn.

I have also loved getting to explore Hyde Park & Kesington area on my runs with a few girls here. There is no better way to see a place than by running through it!

So far we have had orientation, running errands, Big Ben, the Eye & Trafalgar Square (at night), then the Tower of London, London bridge & tour through Westminster Abbey today (so cool to see exactly where the big royal wedding will take in just a few months! and did you know that during coronations people take their seats 5 hours before & can't leave EVEN to go to the bathroom & then the coronation lasts another 3 hours! man talk about intense dedication! haha)

Well its been quite the first few rainy days but I'm enjoying & getting used to it-jet lagged & all! Stay tuned..tomorrow on tap we have the changing of the guards (maybe i'll try to make those serious guards laugh) and the play "The Woman in Black" (supposed to be kind of creepy with only 2 characters playing all the roles-kind of strange but we'll see) and then my 1st Sunday in a new London ward here! Ta ta for now...
