Hampton Court & Darwins House

Friday we had a day trip to Hampton Court which is one of the royal palaces where Henry VIII lived. It reminded me a lot of Versailles-with the architectural style, beautiful gardens & fountains and elaborate interior decorating inside. It was pretty amazing to think people actually lived in such a place at one time (talk about a lot of up-keep & house-cleaning to maintain such a place!
Here are a group of some of my fav girls here. From top left: Annie-"the always happy U Chi O", Liz "ms photogenic from Utah State", Ashley "the firecracker", Sharon "the tall stays up all night one" Bottom left: Kinsey "the cute athletic U Chi O", Carly "my church co- primary teacher", Elise "my consistent running buddy(and Moms friend Shelly Tingey's niece) and ME!

Here are Carly & I striking a pose outside one of the fountains and our photogenic girl Liz trying to get in the pic too.
Friday we also went to see Charles Darwin's house (Down's House). It was neat to see where he wrote the 'On the Origin of the Species' and the garden where he performed/thought of some of his great experiments. There is his house below-pretty nice pad for him, his wife Emma and their 10 children!
Friday night I went with some others to Westminster to see Big Ben and the Eye all lit up. Every time I step off that tube and see Big Ben I am continuously amazed and continue to love London a little more each day!
