Wimbledon

"If you can meet with triumph and disaster and treat those 2 impostors just the same."

I love this quote above that comes from Rudyard Kipling's poem "If" that I memorized for my Mom at one point in time. And this whole poem was displayed at the end of the Wimbledon Museum tour we went to on Saturday. It took a little while to finally make it there due to some complications (i.e. rain, water spillage on Ashley's comp, stress levels) and let's just say my patience was a little tested, but kept inside, and really its good for me. It made me realize that my plans aren't always going to go accordingly and I need to adjust. But it all worked out in the end and we made it to Wimbledon!
It was actually really cool to see centre court where all the tennis magic happens. The grass court was actually a lot smaller than I had expected it to be, but man just thinking of all those tennis legends who had played there kind of gave me the chills. The museum was also really neat to learn about the history of tennis & wimbledon, the fashions & some of the major tennis players winning the plate. Wimbledon is the oldest & the most prestigious tennis tournament. To win at Wimbledon is like the gold of the Olympics or the strawberries with the creme on top (which unfortunately couldn't be had cuz they weren't in season haha). But Wimbledon turned out to be a good day after all & glad I got to go see where the best of the best of tennis is played every year.
